So I got a question...who did Sarah Silverman hook up with?

A romance is at its most disastrous when you like her and she's not into you. Enough of those, and you end up old and lonely and wondering what in the vaults of eternal destitution happened.

I was not intentionally quoting that trope. I agree with you about it. (And I regret referring to MA's list before actually reading it in detail.)

All good, I kinda thought you'd be on the clearly correct side of that argument. :D

But did he? Some of the ones listed above are just Harry being into someone and them not. That ain't no romance.

Perhaps the problem lies in a difference of opinion as to what constitutes a romance?

Sure. But we're talking about the main character versus one of nine principals in an ensemble. If you only give Kirk four, then Harry wins with Libby, Linnis, Derran Tal, Ballard, Jetal (heavily implied) and Eudana. That almost matches the seven I came up with for Kirk and there are others that qualify for Harry.

It's almost worth the effort to really dig into Kirk vs Kim just for shizz and giggs, but I still think one would need to qualify exactly what counts as a romance for it to be worthwhile. ;)

(For me, I think both parties must be interested in the other without being coerced in any way, and they must share at least a single kiss. But that's just my first instinct.)

But it's not some serious contest, it's just a "I wonder which one really had more" BBS time-waster. ;)

Hey, in the age of (much-needed) intimacy coordinators on set, it is a worthwhile exercise. :)

Of course. I tend to stay out of the serious contests.

So on the most recent Delta Flyers podcast (In the Hands of the Prophets) Robert Duncan McNeill gets some stuff off his chest about Sarah Silverman. It really bugs him that she told a story about him insisting on an apple box, citing that he's six inches taller than her. He also says that when she told the story, he contacted Tim Russ and asked if it was true that she made out with him. Tim Russ said that it was not true.

RDM posits that she just made up a funny story for the appearance, which I generally agree with...but it sure is odd that her kissing story remained consistent being told four years apart.
