OK I finished season 2......

I just don't know how to feel about the show, the title of the show feels kind of misplaced since it's actually not proper aliens but an offshoot of future humans. I'm still a bit iffy about the whole plot. So sometime in the future humans have a disease made by this scientist that is killing them but rather then fix it in their own timeline they decide heck why not invade Earth, but not our Earth. I got the feeling they came from another universe. So rather then fix their own history they fuck up our world nice job.

They just appear out of nowhere no grand landing and such it all just seems to happen in the very first episode and their only motivation is a hate boner which seems piss weak as a reason. The pacing of the show is very glacial, so if you are expecting things to be brisk and action packed this might not be the show for you. The CGI alien robot spot imitations are about the only decent thing in the show. There are a few things still I'm trying to wrangle in my head because unless I missed a detail they were not explained well enough.

How the heck is Emily alien when she was born I presume on our Earth?
What or how did the invading future humans from another dimension use to kill millions and billions of people?
You mean heavy weapons couldn't take out robot dogs, puhlease yet in some scenes ordinary soldiers kill a few.

Is this some kind of time loop?

Where exactly in the world is this show so popular they are doing a third season?
How can you continue this after the ending of season 2?

I dropped off midway through series 2. Just wasn't holding my interest. And, yes, it's really "Alien Invasion...,maybe". NOT "War of the Worlds". And people think Foundation has strayed from it's source material.....

It's not even that, it's "other world human invasion" since they are not true aliens but offshoots of humans. Still don't get how Emily is part of this or if it is some kind of repeating time loop, the latter is hinted at near the end of season 2 but the very glacial pacing of this and lack of details annoys me, that there is a season 3 I find interesting because the "aliens" led by psycho woman are still looking for Bill Ward and still have a hate boner out for his blood, but they don't have any spaceships any more and no more discount Spot robots.

I wish they had somehow expanded on season 1 and how Emily is tied to all this beyond being the mother of "insane human offshoot from another world" since she was born on Earth. That's the bit that gets me she was born here on Earth so how does that instantly tie her to them unless it's some kind of long loop effect, or something else. What was the tattoo about at the start of the series?
