So how does Fishsticks and Custard taste?

Thanks^ but I never touch the stuff. I drink Rym and kokes. ;)

Actually whisky is how I originally typed it but Spellchecker was pitching a fit so I simply chose the top suggestion.

I have a friend you'd really get along with, he's a liquor connoisseur who loves schooling anyone willing to listen to him on the art of selecting fine distilled spirits for consumption. I'd introduce you but he isn't a Trekker, doesn't visit Trek MBs.

Can we please stop saying Scotch, it's a drink. Anything else should be Scottish, at a push Scots.

Also Scottish oatcakes are like biscuits not pancakes.

Isn't this thread like 2 years dead?

How do they taste?
I would think the answer was obvious! They taste Fantastic!
or, if they didn't, I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!

That's incorrect, If I were to want to buy a bottle of Whisky I would ask for whisky not scotch as the majority of whisky sold in Scotland/England and Wales comes from Scotland. If I wanted whisky from somewhere else I would say ask for Irish Whiskey. Sure in other countries it might be called Scotch to identify it as orginating as being from Scotland, but the term scotch in of itself does not apply excuslivesly to Scotch Whisky.

Scotch is generally only applied to food and drink. Scotch Eggs, Scotch Broth, Scotch Pancakes etc..

NB: I am a Scot.

Well if you want to list things then Scotch Tape, Scotch Pie, Scotch Mist.

Burns called it Scotch, that's good enough for me.

I too am Scottish.

Ok, I would just like to make one minor correction to what I said, I wouldn't ask for whisky a would ask for a specific brand such as Glenfiddich or Glenmorangie

I'm pretty sure, here in America, we have Bottles Marked "Whiskey" (Or maybe Whisky?) We have bottles marked "Scotch Wiskey" (Or maybe Whisky?) and bottles merely marked "Scotch". I always wondered if Scotch (Without the Whiskey/Wisky added) might be a different brew?
