serenitytrek1, the article you've linked had "Star Trek Into Darkness Movie Spoilers and Rumors" in the title, and had a spoiler warning placed at the head of the article, yet you did not extend the same courtesy to your fellow posters here, who may have wished to remain unspoiled.http://www.policymic.com/articles/1...-rumors-benedict-cumberbatch-is-gary-mitchell
its a shame.I really wanted him to be khan... oh well.
I am guessing Khan recruits Gary Mitchell in the film and that is why we see him beating up Spock
Since it has not been confirmed that Cumberbatch is playing Gary Mitchell (and may not be for some time, if ever) let's keep even speculated spoilers out of thread titles, please. If people want to know, they can look, but allow them to make the choice themselves.really like this image. very cool.

I know that I've explained to you before that you shouldn't post spoilers or possible spoilers without giving fair warning or placing the spoilers inside spoiler tags - preferably both.
Ideally, if you're posting a thread which contains (or may contain) spoilers, you will indicate this by placing a flag such as "[SPOILERS]" clearly in the subject line, NOT by putting the spoiler itself in the subject line so that everyone can read it on the forum index page, whether they wanted to or not.
When you take away someone's choice by revealing details about a movie without stopping to consider first whether that person/those people wanted to know those details before watching, that's considered a breach of etiquette - quite simply, it's rude. Please don't be rude again.

Interesting. Cumberbatch favors first season character 'Decius' from 'Balance Of Terror. Green eyes could represent Romulan green blood since Decius was the gung ho junior officer aboard the Romulan praetors flagship.

I don't see any confirmation, just speculation. Besides, "Where No Man..." was already remade and Mitchell bumped off in the first and second issues of the Star Trek comic - a series which has Bad Robot writer Bob Orci on board specifically to avoid the comic conflicting with the upcoming movie.
Excerpted from Trekmovie.com: Orci Talks Star Trek Sequel Script “Polish” + Reveals Bit On Time Passed Between Films
Finally, you should know the story hasn’t change, the structure hasn’t changed, and the action sequences haven’t changed. Most changes are minor. The changes I suspect Quinto is referring to are the character interactions as we fine tune the level of their various friendships. How well they all know each other and what they’ve all been through off screen is a nuanced yet essential part of the actors understanding where they are coming from with each other. While discussing the exact same plot elements, what they’ve been through colors their attitude toward each other. And given that the time past in real life is different than the amount of time passed in the movie world, it takes a polish to get it just right. That’s what polishes (a legal contractual word in our contract) are for.
