great season premiere! i was pleasantly surprised by how many character relationships/plot threads carried over into the first episode of season 2.

Oh, and Betty White rapping. Gold.

I have only seen a few random episodes of this show, but I thought the season premier was awesome. I need to convince my roommate to buy Season 1 so I can get caught up!

Lots of good stuff, if season 2 can remain at, or go above what the premier did it is going to be an amazing season.

Chang as Gollum at the end was great.

I never watched Season 1, aside from occasionally having it on in the background while I did other things, but I really enjoyed the premiere tonight. I might go back and watch season 1 now to fully catch up on characters and storylines.

I thought the Chang as Gollum thing fell totally flat though. :p

The series needed a few eps in S1 to find it's stride... but then it got just so damn good. The S2 premiere was also awesome. ;)

The paintball episode was one of the most awesome of ANYTHING I've seen on TV in the past couple years. I'd been looking for something to fill the enormous hole in my heart left by the departure of "Scrubs" (and no, I'm not counting that ninth "season" they had), and "Community" fills it perfectly.

Great show, and a good premiere that wraps stuff up from the finale while making Joel McHale suffer.

At the hands of a rapping Betty White.

Awesome.

Good stuff. Agreed that it took a while to find it's footing but got steadily better over season 1 and continued right on to the season 2 opener.

Agreed about the paintball episode.. I've never seen anything like it on TV and it remains one of the most re-watchable sitcom episodes in my opinion.

I missed the premier last night, but will be viewing On Demand tonight.. Thanks for keeping the spoilers light so far. :)

I guess I blanked for a second while watching the episode but why were Jeff and Britta getting married and who paid for those people to show up....?

Abed, no?

Anyway, on the recent subject of people not being around or some ridiclously dedicated attention to detail on this show (i.e. Abed delivering a baby in the background of one episode, or the pen actually diappearing in another), was there any reason Pierce was barely around and had basically no dialogue in last week's episode? He only shows up at the very end and has nothing to say, so I'm wondering if there's something I've missed... It's odd to begin with that he's in a wheelchair for such an extended period of time (and that he go ttha way by double-bouncing off an illegal trampoline). The actor wasn't injured, right?

Just saw the Conspiracy Theory episode. Another classic. I wasn't crazy about this show initially but they've really grown into a clever idea. I love how they take a silly mundane thing and blow it all out of proportion with such serious drama, like the paintball contest or the space camp trailer or the zombies or the conspiracy theory teacher.
