I simply disagree that they’re trying to make the show look like TOS. They’re trying the barest minimum possible to do that.

The ridiculousness of your statement knows no bounds.

I meant the Enterprise's corridors we saw at the end of Disco season 2.

I was just speaking tongue in cheek. Having a small joke and a sensible chuckle.Do you just like picking and choosing parts of people’s posts to smugly reply to, or do you actually bother to read the whole thing?
And playing "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds."That tricorder is even more retro than the TOS prop except for having a flatscreen display. That's so TOS it's getting high right now on the brown acid.

And, of course, my bad, I again forgot the winky.
Let me be clear: I understand the perspective of wanting it closer to TOS, rather than a modern interpretation of TOS designs. I understand the desire to have it look the same in order to keep the visual continuity. I would prefer that, in a perfect world.
You see what you want to see and I’ll see what I see.
If they were. they'd have more actual CRT screens on the Bridge and elsewhere.I think it's pretty obvious that the Producers are going more for a TMP than TOS look to the Enterprise and her interiors.
At first, I was a bit taken back, but then it dawned on me that Roddenberry was the one who approved all the changes between the two to begin with.
Obviously he felt that TOS was lacking in some manner and he wanted the drastic changes made to better realize his ideas about the show, so who am I to disagree.
I believe that we should be comparing apples to apples, not to oranges.
If one compares SNW to TMP, the look is a Hell of a lot closer.![]()

Your reaction is understandable because it's never going to be a perfect line up. And my usual snarkiness probably didn't help. It’s all good. Sorry for my overly defensive response.
Be kinda stupid to reject the one thing that has kept the IP alive for over 50+ years.
Through ALL of the iterations.
And potentially using hats.Ok so about the props.. Given the time period, isn't this too early for the TOS combo phasers? Shouldn't they be the guns that you actually had to turn the barrel to change power levels? It doesn't really bother me, but if we're being technical... Of course, if we're really being technical, they'd all be wearing ill-fitting mock turtlenecks.![]()
