Poehler is painfully unfunny 99% of the time, far more than the majority of the cast. Her impersonations are terrible and her recurring characters are all eye-rollingly low-brow. "I only have one leg, and I fart a lot!" She is much better in more subdued supporting roles in sketches, but because she is for some reason the hot commodity on the show these last few years it seems she gets at least a couple big sketches every week.
Personally, I think they need to just do an overhaul of the cast and shake things up. Keep Wiig, Sudeikis, Samburg, Hader and maybe Armisen(though his terrible Obama impersonation is more of a Barney Rubble voice than anything, he at least is good for the occasional backup role and doesn't try to steal cheap laughs) and clear out the rest. Get some fresh blood like Trevor Moore from Whitest Kids U'Know who are, ya know, actually reliably funny more than once every few months during sweeps.
Poehler can take crap material and make it very funny. She and Fey were a great team. And she's the only one who takes chances as much as Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon did. She'll dive in and be totally committed. When it fails, it's usually the material.
