Is the rumour true that William Shatner is being cast as Pike’s barber? He was once also rumoured to be appearing as the chef on the NX-01 Enterprise too, but that never transpired. Hopefully this barber rumour will come to fruition and they are not getting our hopes up yet again. It would be *good* to see Shatner back in Trek after all of these years, in whatever capacity that may be.

He probably needed this hairstyle in order to go undercover on a planet of aliens with similar hair styles/shaped heads? Like when he went undercover in episode two ‘Children of the Comet’ with alien prosthetics?
