Smith & Leather...

The man changes, but his ride doesn't. He should fix the damn chameleon circuit, now that he has a reason to. Perception filter my bum, EVERYONE knows he flies around in a blue box!

The Doctor likes that the TARDIS looks likes a police box on the outside--and perhaps the TARDIS herself does too.

But the chameleon circuit has never been entirely broken, IMO. It periodically becomes a different blue police box every once in a while.

I think it was mentioned once that he fixed it a long time ago, but the funniest thing is that he purposely broke it in order to explore Skaro before his first regeneration.

Hmmmm...Susan comments during the first story, when they walk out into Caveman times how strange it was that it didn't change?

Yeah whenever the 11th Doctor tries to look cool he fails...it's when he doesn't try that he looks cool!

Agreed. When the 11th Doctor wore black sunglasses, they looked like the dorkiest pair of black sunglasses in history.

I'd be willing to keep an open mind but it really depends on what kind of leather. I just can't see black leather working on him. It's too 9th Doctor. That worked for the 9th Doctor because he had such an obvious dark side and Eccleston was old enough to make it look lived in.

But the 11th Doctor's look is all about being a lovable, energetic, unapologetic geek. Not even geek-chic like the 10th Doctor. Just plain geek. So long as the new look still conveys that idea, I'll be on board.

Anything that's too radical a departure from that would need to be accompanied by a deliberate change in demeanor from the character; a brand new statement on who this man is supposed to be.

(Suddenly, I'm able to picture the 11th Doctor wearing neck ties, but they're all really skinny neck ties.)

Wasn't the Green Long Coat Leather (Or at least Pleather?)

The Long green coat was really really cool, and if it wasn't leather, it needs to return in Leather.
