Smallvills Michael Rosenbaum is back....

I would have preferred him to come back as the flash.

In a half mask he could have passed as "Not Luthor".

"Bart."

(nod)

"Wally."

(shrug)

"Where's Barry?"

(smirk)

"Knocking out Zoom's teeth."

(high five)

I'm not a big Smallville fan, but I have to admit it'll be kinda cool to see his Lex one last time in the finale.

All you people who've cried and lamented about whether or not Rosenbaum will be back or not.... now get your wish....
He'll return and turn clark from being drab into being superman.

Yippie right?

There's two active Smallville threads running right now (the winter hiatus thread and the most recent episode discussion thread). What are the odds you're the first person to discover and present this news since it came out Friday night when Smallville ended?

Or, possibly, he didn't catch the announcement in the winter hiatus thread and felt this was a topic that warranted it's own thread. In either case, a link back to the original posting could have helped.

Instead, you went with arrogant snark. Always a healthy choice.

You think last weeks report that he wasn't coming back, was that PTB's trying to keep his return a secret, and the when it was excepted as negatively as it was they quickly came out with the truth?

Nope. I think Mike didn't want to come back and that was the story. CW and Brian and Kelly saw the back lash, showed it to him and he changed his mind.

Fixed your typo. ;)

As for his return, I can't say I really care. I tried to watch "Supergirl" and failed, the writing and direction were so terrible. Unless the finale is a completely standalone story with a script massively better than the ones they've been using, I doubt I'll be much impressed.

Oh god.

The episode starts in the U Universe 5 years ago when UClark is killing ULex.

Somehow instead of dying, ULex crosses over.

He owes his Upappy a foot up the ass.

Oh god, god.

Ulex replaced regular lex before the pilot. It's been Ulex the whole time. Regular Lex has been caged in a basement under the mansion for the last 10 years... Until the fire sets him free.

Isn't there some kind of rule about spoilers in thread titles? It's not much of a spoiler but still.

To be fair, it doesn't say where he's back too.. He could just have a new movie/show out for all a title-reader knows.

Has it occurred to some of you sniping at the OP and the thread, that there might be those of us out there who no longer follow Smallville and the lengthy threads dealing with it, but who may be interested in checking out the finale because the best actor in the show will return for it?

Just a thought.

Well it is Smallville's MR returning, placed in the SF forum, so it's obvious what everyone would accurately assume. He's back on TV already, but in more of a mundane role, from what I hear. But I don't care, I'm relieved to hear.

^Yeah, this. I'm grateful for the news.

Yeah, I've started skipping the weekly Smallville threads, 'cause I got sick of having to wade through 10 pages of Trekker's crappy riffing on the episode before I could get to any actual discussion.
