Is it at all surprising that TPTB don't know how to wrap this show up??????

To them the ending has always been "He puts on the suit and he flies. Now he's Superman!" They have no ideas. No care about developing the characters. Any previous efforts have been stretched out beyond plausibility. There should have been no more than a season between when the first reports of the Blur appeared in the Planet and him becoming Superman. There is nothing to develop here. They are just spinning their wheels. Thats why they do so many filler episodes.

I don't really blame the writers for this because it's not their fault that the CW kept repeatedly giving this show another season. Since it's technically about Clark becoming rather than being Superman they really couldn't show any progress. Even the supporting cast have no depth because they weren't meant to be series leads, just guest stars that never leave. Had they mapped this show out over 5 years we may have gotten a more cohesive story.

Still, I'd settle for 2 back to back flashback episodes if it means saving the effects budget for the last hour of Clark being Superman kicking some ass. If we don't see the suit, someone saying the word, "Superman" and flying even I'm going to be pissed and I've given this show tons and tons of slack.

That was the original creators idea. He would be looking at the costume at the end I think. I seriously doubt we'll get more than one scene with him as Superman.

Clark is shocked to find a mirror box in the barn. Clark Luthor surprises him and sends Clark Kent back to the alternate reality where Clark runs into a very angry Jonathan Kent. Meanwhile, back in our reality, Clark Luthor visits Tess and tells her if she doesn’t side with him he’ll kill her. Lois asks Emil to help her bring Clark back.

That probably should be replaced with Clark Luthor sodomizes him.

I'll be here tonight. Then I'm off to see Scream 4.

Now if you want to see a great show, Friday Night Lights beings its final NBC run tonight. I've watched most of the last season on DVD...it's as good as it's ever ever been.
