^ That's kind of cool. That was something though I thought they should have done last season lol. What the hell happened to her search for the real Kandorians? Sigh.

Jor-El basically said get the heck outta dodge and let Clark do everything on his own, heh... It was an odd way for her to leave to be honest. She didn't even say goodbye to Clark.

I can't believe it! 14 pages and not one "Meanwhile, at the Legion of Doom!" When will we ever get the opportunity again?

All in all not as bad as it should have been, but really the ending was so f**king pointless. But that's Smallville for you, f**king pointless. I have a feeling that we'll spend a inordinate amount of time wondering who is to blame for Smallville turning out as it has.

1) DC Comics for the "No Flights No Tights" Policy.
2) The Power's that be for filling the show with a Dawson's Creek angst, while spending a decade p**ck-teasing their fanbase with episodes that showed how great Smallville could have been.
3) The Audience for taking serve after serve from the PTB's, smiling, and asking for another.
4) The WB/CW networks for just having no f**king clue.

Anyways, only 6 days of puns and p**ck-teasing left, and then its done. I wonder if the same can some-what redeem itself with its final episode.

I don't think "No Flights, No Tights" was a DC Comics mandate. That was something Miles and Gough came up with so they could free themselves from writing in too much mythology stuff early on. The problem with their motto is that it eventually became completely unnecessary once Clark started evolving into the character everyone is familiar with.

DC imposed the Bat-Embargo with an iron fist though.

Terrible from me. Will we ever see anyone on TV write peril for people with Superman's power in a plausible way?

Lois: "I'm gonna beg you to call off your goons, and accept to be your killing machine, even though I could superspeed over to Clark and back five times in the space it took me to even think of saying something that stupid."

It's funny, I was certain the whole NFNT was from someone other than the PTB, due to the Superman movie they in pre-production on at the time (they thought two Superman would confuse us, bless em!). Maybe it was Warner Bros.

@DeadmeatDiggory...I don't think that was the case at all. The early interviews the two of them did in Wizard Magazine and stuff make me believe that this is their thing and has nothing to do with Warner Bros or DC. I could be naive, and wrong lol.

^Then there's another reason to hate Smallville. Gough and Miller have been gone, what, four seasons now, five? They could have been doing Superman all this time.

^They've been gone two. Brian and Kelly gave an interview a few months ago stating that they're partially working from Miles and Gough's original intended ending for "Smallville". There have also been at least two prior endings for the show. The last one was season seven. Miles and Gough said they had written an ending for the series if they were canceled

^ Yes it does. Anyways we're finally at the finale! Is there any one who is actually legitimately excited? Despite everything we've been shown this season?

Of course I am, I'm quite looking forward to it, and the big moment, I'm sure I'll have a wide smile of glee when it happens

I'm excited for it to finally end, with hopefully a small fraction of the payoff we deserve after a decade of superhuman patience.

^ This is what I'm pretty much feeling right now about it. The only thing that really excites me will be Lex's scenes.

I don't remember when, but somewhere down the track Smallville got filed away in my mind with the latter seasons of Sliders and Earth Final Conflict. As with the former shows, I've invested so many years in the show, I need to see how it ends. I hope there will be a cool enough pay-off, but this Smallville and they've made a history of disappointing their fan-base and pretending they did a good job.
