I hope this show doesn't plan to end each episode with a Clark and Lana scene with teeny-bopper song.

It would get old real quick

I hope he discovers some of his powers by becoming inappropriately horny. That's Superman!

Well, I voted 'Average'. It was okay, but I've seen better. I would've liked to seen more of the cute little blond. What was her name? Chloe? It looked like she had a nice little set of ta-tas under that tee-shirt she was sporting. Perhaps we'll see more of them in the future.

This series is going to be epic! I can't wait for a young Bruce Wayne to make an appearance. :bolian:

I voted good. It's honestly not too bad of a little pilot that I think set-up the series nicely and, let's face it, it's pretty much what we got for the most of the first 4-5 years.

As I said earlier you can certainly see the changes in tone and look the show has made in the intervening ten years and, honestly, I think I like this earlier look more. Not so much the pop-song bullshit at the end or the teenage angst but the "feel" of the show just was much more brighter the last few seasons in production, color and look has been very dark and rather plain looking colorwise.

As much as we pick on Clark too for his angsty douchiness I doubt many of us were much different in 9th grade. But I still find the Lana stuff painfull and horrible Welling and Kreuk just had no on-screen chemistry. Wel, they did but it was more like mixing an acid with a base.

For what I gather, CW ran the pilot to show how the show has change since it's inception.

So.

Clark's still a douche.

He can't fly.

He's still not Superman.

Not a huge difference, other than the muted color-schemes that Trekker noted.

I was generous and gave it a "Good".

Kristin Kreuk is lovely. :adore:

That Clark Kent guy is a real douche.

Seriously...10 years ago it wasn't so bad...but watching it now... I know they cut a few scenes out...there was a longer scene with Pete & Chloe on the bus and Clark day dreaming while watching the football team practice...I am sure there were more...but I can't remember.

The Cassidy Freeman Ford Focus commercial was nice...she is HOT!

A whole five minute conversation with Clark and Jonathan was cut

"We didn't find you Clark, you found us"

"Ask me again in five years?"

^
I don't think I was in the room when that part was supposed to happen...I got up a few times and went to the kitchen & stuff...but I knew there was more that was cut.

It's a shame the episode was cut, they should have just put it in a longer time slot or something and shown the entire episode.
