Maxwell Lord played by Gill Bellows is the guest star that Jetfire and I have brought up before. I think the only way I'm going to stay on next season is if Darkseid comes...maybe not.

I think if the finale is great...you will stay. Season 8 as we both agree had a horrible finale...I don't think Smallville has had a worse finale...given how this year has been...it will be better...season 8 was the weakest by far.

[edit] I don't think the writers know how to handle major villains outside of Lex...Doomsday was a let down and I am sick of Zod. Greg Beeman is directing the finale from what I heard...so look for it to be good.

Actually if the finale is great I'll be thrilled but it won't be enough to convince me to stick around. Once again we'll have another summer hiatus discussion thread with all kinds of hiatus news tossed in and depending on what that news in...much like prior to season nine (see I called it the proper season this time!) I'll make my decision.

They used the transporter in the caves--the same way Metallo did.

Was pretty good. Is it me or does Zod's mouth look annoying. Everytime I see him speak I want to yell, "FIX YOUR MOUTH!!" His upper lip looks like he has no teeth behind it even though he does.

This episode was pretty good I thought. Looking forward to the Kandorian arc ending though.

One of the funniest things about a Smallville finale is the short recap they do at the beginning of the episode summing up the season. If you watch that short two minute blurb you're all caught up and can watch the finale with no trouble because nothing happens during a season! Watch the Season premiere and the finale.

AY, how many times have you threatened to quit this show? It seems like you always do towards the end of a season, yet you keep sticking around!

^ I've lost track but I think I started around season six to be honest lol. I just think that I get tired by season's end and the summer helps refuel me lol.

It's going to be a tough one for me if they really do kill Chloe. I'll probably watch the beginning of next season just out of curiousity, but the main reason, for me anyway, will be gone.

To be honest I've not watched every single episode this season...l intended on watching the series premier and seeing how that went. My attention span has really wanned on this season on general. I've seen maybe ten of the eighteen episodes this year. I am looking forward to the final four and hopefully I will be back next season, I have a love/hate relationship with Smallville and most of you know my concerns and dislikes with the show so it shouldn't be surprising how much I procrastinate regarding Smallville LOL.

Actually, it's the other way around. Metallo predates Iron Man by about four years. (He first appeared in the comics way back in 1959!)
