Zod and/or his people wind up killing Clone Jor-El who dies in Clark's arms, losing another father.
Good call,
Dagman. It'll be interesting to watch Clark try to resolve his guilt over this as time goes on.
Yeah, I totally nailed that one. I was a bit off on how Clone Jor-El got up to date, with Chloe telling him the story instead of AI Jor-El downloading memories to him. My stating that the Kandorians were clones since the premiere episode thread was just confirmed as fact however. So, like I said in last week's thread, I may get a few details wrong but the overall gist I can generally peg. I suppose I am now justified in removing those theory disclaimers now.
And while you all were looking at how Superman-ish this episode was, I am surprised you guys missed a big one. When Jor-El first arrives at the Kent farm, the truck that dropped him off looked like the same one Glenn Ford drove in Superman, The Movie. Yes, the one that toddler Kal-El picked up when it fell off the jack just after the Kents found him. Same make, model and color. A 1938 Ford F50.
And there was another one too. Chloe's line at the beginning when Clark told her he kissed Lois she said something like he's been in love with her since the 1930s! And he has. Since 1938 in fact, the year Action Comics #1 was published.
The blue-K and the creation of the Orb and the stones of knowledge explanation also makes some sense. It touches on why Clark also lost his powers when Lex stuck the Orb in the Fortress' control console at the end of the season before last, as well as why the Orb caused the Fortress to unmake itself. Obviously, Original Jor-El sent those artifacts back in time and seeded the pieces of the puzzle of how to find them throughout Earth's history. The Kandorians are going to be pissed when they learn Clark only got his powers back after his Orb encounter by being flown into the heart of our sun, and that Clark can't fly to do the same for them. Will Kara's presence on Earth be kept quiet from them? I suppose she could be off-planet now doing some exploring, if she's lucky. Still, the Kandorians will have their solar tower they showed last week to do the job.
I would have really liked to have seen Clone Jor-El meet with AI Jor-El though. The clone had the emotions, the AI the missing knowledge. It would have been very interesting to see. Clark should have turned on the speed and gotten him there at the end of the ep so AI Jor-El could have saved himself. Oh well, I knew they couldn't let him live.
