It seemed in this episode that Clark also demonstraed he has another one of Superman's "powers." That being tactile invulnerability -since his shirt wasn't harmed by the bullets striking him.

Actually, I saw several small bullet holes in his black tee as they close in on him while he's looking on Lois on Ollie on the roof across the street.

Thanks to a Chicago Bulls game on Friday I only saw the Episode Sunday night. Not bad and according to the ratings it scored a season high 1.2. Looks like this show just wont die. Not that I want it to.

Thought this episode was ok and was saved by the moment at the end. Hard to believe thats the most aggresive Clark has ever been in 8 years. Didnt like the Chloe arc much but I assume new guy will die or just never be seen. Tess is bad ass!!

I liked this episode a lot more than I probably should have. It was fun.

The thing I don't get is how did Zod become the CEO of a company? Hell, how was he able to get a company started in the first place so quickly? It seems that he has adjusted to life on Earth a little too quickly. Also, where were he legion of followers when he went to get his morning latte?

Also, Chloe needs to go. She has outlived her usefulness on this show by years. To make her look badass, they have her crack her neck before taking down a computer hacker? Also, how'd she become all cloak-and-dagger? Where did that come from?

Who the hell knows...I hated Chloe from season 1-1/2 of 4 and loved Chloe from 1/2 of 4-8ish, really liked it when she was controled by Braniac and now??? I really don't care for the character this season.

The whole Zod thing with the other kryptonians I think is dumb...there is alot of ways they could of went and they bring back Zod???

I realy think that they should have Zod take over a European Country.

Hmmm.

What about Cuba?

America has been half assed about being on the brink of war with those buggers since Khrushchev and Kennedy were pissing against the wind at each other. One would have thought that Cuba would have fell 5 days after the ciollapse of the Soviet Union, but it's an odd little blind spot on the American Consciousness that island is.

I always liked it how Cobra took over the town of Springfield in the comics and just held it.

I think it's because of the New Krypton storyline in the comics.

I think She's got a little James "Fuck you Stark I will not be manipulated by your elitist Bullshit any more" Rhodes hardwaired into her character now.

They mentioned green Arrow on Sanctuary this week. the fellow who plays Toyman (The Chef from Eureka.) was a "super hero" spinning mashes of comicbook origins to confound his "interrogation" by the Sanctuary, and eventually the words "Wait? You don't know the origin of the Green Arrow?" came up. And I thought, hey? Smallvile doesn't know the origin of the Green Arrow!

Maybe the Green Arrow was mentioned on purpose because of Chris Gauther's relationship with the character?

Or it's just another coincidence?

Our girl has to behurting that she's now not one 10,000th the hacker she was when she was under the influence of Braniac.

This has to have the girl thinking that if there are Kryptonians wandering about who were from that same society as who were building braniac and other AI like "Jor-El" that some one who be able to hook her up with a fix that isn't going to eat her soul and destroy the planet.

If benign brain augments exist, even if they're illegal (Julian Bashir anyone?). Then all Kryptonians will have them. remember that complicated math which Clark was doing in his head in the second or third episode? Multiplying 4 digit numbers I think?

She must want a taste of it? It's like Willow using science instead of Magic that time after her fall from grace, or any drug user ever denied their fix by will power.

Also, how'd she become all cloak-and-dagger? Where did that come from?

What do you mean? That's been developing for a few seasons now. Chloe's "progression" is one of the few things the show has done well.

Her tech skills have progressed. That is for sure.

I'm talking about her sudden transformation into a "Secret Agent Shadow Government Sinister" type. Last week she was putting Ollie through an elaborate mind game. This week she is making back-alley deals. And all the while, she has all this tech to spy in on people for no real apparent reason. True, she was using that stuff this week to try to find the Kandorians, but what does she do with the rest of her time? Play a huge ass game of mindsweeper?

She was never like that before and it jumped out of nowhere starting with this season.

Don't you remember the episode where Jimmy was tricked into being a spy and Chloe owned him?

Besides, she's been running point in the weekly missions we don't see with Victor, Bart, Dinah, and AC. She's a valuable and indespensible member of the "League".

If Lois and Clark have chemistry (and they do), I think most of the credit should go to Erica Durance. I think she's improved as an actress over the last few years.

Chloe has been reduced to playing the computer wizard. That's too bad. Remember when Chloe had romantic aspirations? I hope the writers have something planned for her.

I was oblivious to the existence of another "Speedy" in the DCU. Now that I'm up to date on Mia, I hope she won't be HIV-positive in the show. Really, what would the point be? Is Smallville going to promote a social message now? What would that message be? Don't be a hooker? Don't engage in unsafe sex? Or sex with strangers is OK as long as a condom is used?

We read that Mia in the comics has HIV. Big deal. Green Arrow in the comics has a beard. Smallville never really cared about making its characters consistent with the comic book versions. We have learned to live with this.

I liked Clark and Lois on tv, I liked bringing that element from the comics (forgetting exactly when they went on air, I think it may have been as for back as the late 70's?)

I could have lost the online dating storyline, it made the plot about dating and Ollie and Lois, which doesn't go well with a second plot about Ollie and Mia. Those two should have been split and put in with different Clark action plots.

The whole thing about Ollie and Mia rubbed me the wrong way. Primarily, Ollie is just taking the entitled rich boy's method of "saving" the pretty street hooker, OK, Pretty Woman reference which make me barf. What "saves" a kid in that positition is to give the opportunity to become independant, not to make her dependant on the rich boy. She's going from one pimp to another, and the fact that Ollie doesn't fuck her doesn't change that.

What woud Tess do in a situation like this? Take her to private penthouse for a nude sparring session? Or what she did with the meteor freaks and offer them jobs? So how about Ollie one ups Tess and offers her independance? Takes her to a public gym, introduce her to a professional trainer, explain that she has exceptional skills and she can create a career and independance from that. Instead he gives her the keys to his car. I'd have sold him out too. He is just like every other rich boy that's tried to buy her. The only difference is what he's buying her for, but he's not showing her any more respect.

So I guess the story plays out logically, Mia has the real life attitude toward Ollie and sells him out for exactly the right reason: He deserves it. But the story isn't interesting to me because there's really no heroism here.

I'm also pretty cynical that they jumped straight to Mia because obviously there has to be a pretty hooker in the show. If they told the same story with Roy as the kid, it would have been a little more daring, edgier and worth watching and remembering.
