...but he is back on his moral high ground.
Uh, that's what makes Superman the pinnacle of superheroes that he is.

Well sometimes you gotta get just as dirty as the bad guy in order to do the most good.
That's Batman's philosophy, not Superman's.

Note that I'm not defending Smallville. I absolutely hate this take on the Superman mythos and find both Welling's acting (not to mention his refusal to dress appropriately) and the writing to be an utter embarrassment. But that doesn't change the two facts mentioned above. Criticize him and the show for what deserves to be criticized. Doing so when they actually get something right is kinda silly.

Just got done watching it on 2-say timedelay. (Thanks TiFaux!) Overall it was just an okay episode. I do like how they're handling Zod this time around (as opposed to how they did it a few seasons ago with Lex/Zod) and the interaction between him and Clark.

Must have been shot by a disgruntled Lollie fan.
Lollie...

Is that Dave Navaro?;)

I liked the look. The extra bit of goatee they added to Steve Bacic made him more reminiscent of the Green Arrow as we know him. Tough and goateed, not clean shaven like Justin. At least I hope that was an add-on. I'd hate to think that Bacic is getting weird with the facial hair. It's Green Arrow hair, not real-life hair. Unless you're a musician or eccentric. Then it's okay.

Anyhoo... I'm looking forward to next week's event, but not the thread. I imagine it'll be so long, it'll take me six weeks to wade though it.

Oh yeah, gotta love how Ollie took off his glasses and just threw 'em away when he confronted his mentor. Real pissed off tuff guy there.

Talk about inconsistenly...Dark Archer deliberately wounds Lois but tries to kill Chloe and Mia because of the "no lovers, no friends, no apprentices" business. Then why they hell not kill Lois in the first place?!

Overall, I liked it...although Clark went to Zod in order to avoid Zod from going bad (as seen in the vision), but he's doing a terrible job at it with the whole "I will destroy you."

Also, it is me, or is the Zod-Tower the the fastest, smoothest construction project in the history of ever? Zod was released from the orb during the summer. Now, in only a few months, not only was he able to get his own start-up company, but enough money to fund such a building and get it mostly constucted. He and Tess are one hell of a business pair.
