I liked that episode more than I thought I would.

"Stiletto" was a little obviously sexed up, I mean could someone over the age of 13 start designing costumes? That said, I'd thought she would be annoying, but actually I found Lois endearing in this ep.

The final fight with Lois, Clark and Jimmy, my 12 year old said "They make a great team!". I just looked at her, and then said, "You realize who those three are, don't you?" Then she looked shocked and laughed. But it made me realize, this was the moment, besides flights and tights and goodbye Lana, that we've all been waiting for: Lois, Clark and Jimmy being intrepid, side by side, a team. This was 'Superman'.

It was a good show. They should make a series out of this concept.

Clark reminds me of a comic book character. Unfortunately, it's Mary Worth with all his finger-wagging and pooh-poohing. Not that it's probably any worse that ever but it's become really wearying of late. Somehow it seemed appropriate for him to happily engage Lois as a shadowy character masking his voice and unknowingly watching her from above.

Some cute stuff tonight: "Would sewing an S on my chest be tacky?", "Can you read my mind?", "superfriend" and so on. Lois's gentle 30 foot fall was pretty amusing as well. I just wish Clark wasn't such a wet blanket.

An average episode, but what really made it work for me was the character development-Chloe's dark turn, Lois's growing feelings for Clark, Jimmy's spiral. I also liked them using Bruno Mannheim, another nice tie to the comics.

Erica Durance also looked very hot as the Stilleto, but I can't get over how easy she crashed through a glass window and landed without a scratch.

Looking forward to next week. I hated the idea of bringing Doomsday on Smallville, but I'll be damned if I'm not enjoying Davis and his strange, dark hold on Chloe. He's the most interesting villain they've had on the show since Brainiac. Hopefully the inevitable showdown between him and Clark won't last only two minutes, in typical Smallville fashion.

LOIS: It's "Stiletto", not "THE Stiletto!" :D

A lot of ground work for character development in this one. While the episode itself wasn't particularly amazing, it's really setting a lot of things up.

And I especially liked the fact that's it's CLARK who gives Lois the encouragement to become a legit reporter.

Not that good. Stiletto? Ugh.

But despite the overall mediocrity, this episode made two very important introductions into the world of Smallville: Bruno Manheim
and Intergang. :techman: I really hope we see more of Manheim and Intergang. They are excellent additions to the Smallville universe.

Overall the episode and idea of The Stillettoo was pretty LAME. I think most people arguing that Lois would have broke her legs during her Batman Esque ceiling drop have forgot one thing, that the window thing was most likely made of plate glass and she would have ended sliced up from head to toe even with a leather outfit to protect her...
I did like the phone call at the end but man get on with it...Hes Superman not Super-Dude... If Schlark doesnt atleast fly by the end of this season Im done. this show is more of a D!ck Tease than my last girlfriend... And thats saying something...

Jimmy seems to be the most composed drug attict I've ever seen on television. Seriously, would you even have known he was a drug addict by watching this episode? Also...Jimmy actually had some chemistry going with Lois. More than he ever had with Chloe.

NX has usally done it by now and hasn't posted for a couple of days so I guess he's unable.

NX has been avoiding the BBS recently after getting yet another virus from the UGO ads

Plus he had no audio (technical difficulties for the CW affiliate).

Bad.

There were some nice moments, I suppose, but the Kryptonite crap has to stop. The DC Universe has roughly one million villains who can be a challenge to Superman without ever involving a lump of green rock or anything as utterly ridiculous as using it to make counterfeit money.

Oh noes, us guys had something to look at in an episode of Smallville other than Clark/Oliver/Davis/Jason/Any of the other himbos this show employs being tied up or beaten up by tiny girls to give the network's core audience a happy moment for a change.

Creating a "sexy" costume out of black pvc or leather requires about 3 seconds of design, 0 creativity and 0 originality. That outfit was a ripoff of the costumes of about 20 million strippers. Excuse me if I find the the most common, over used, tired, typical imagery a little less than erotic.

Given that three seconds is exactly how long Lois is supposed to have spent making her fake superhero costume, that's not really a surprise.

i have horny dogs in the oven
Say wha..?

Catwoman!
Had the same thought.

Next time, Jimmy, leave the camera in the damn car.
Yeah really.

Ok, Mr. Clark "In a few years a pair of glasses will be my only disguise" Kent.
Yeah, we learned that glasses won't fly on this show.

I don't think it was sexed up enough. Lois' costume could have been hotter. The scene where she was first dressing up was hot, but that was about it.

Anyway, that wasn't a bad episode of Superman. That's right, Superman. :p I'm surprised so many of you didn't like it.

- Loved this take on the first Lois/Superman interview. I wonder when they'll start using the name "Superman" in place of the "Red-Blue Blur". I hope it doesn't take two seasons. Do they even have the rights to use the name?

- It was funny to see the two of them working across from eachother with their costumes ready to go right beside them.

- It was also kinda funny to see Clark faking his injury near the end. Yeah, the show had some good comedic moments.

- Speaking of Clark's injury, how did he get away with it. Did Lois and Jimmy just leave Clark at the hospital and take off during the commercial break?

- Chloe's really going down a dark path. She hacked a guy up and threw him in the dumpster. She's literally cleaning up after Doomsday.

- Lois said she should have called herself "Nike", a joke in reference to her high-heels being uncomfortable. I wonder if the writers know that Nike is the Greek goddess of victory. If Nike weren't known as a shoe, it might actually make a decent alias.

One thing I dont think anyone on here posted about was the subtle dark knight style music they were using. they must have been trying to create that feeling of tension and building suspense that worked so well in TDK. Did anyone else notice?

Sorry, no audio...

I liked it. It was darker than I thought it would be. From the previews, I thought it would be more comical, but it had a good balance.

There's a possible answer to that, depending on what hospital Clark went to. Remember, Oliver has a guy working at the usual Metropolis hospital they normally go to.

I'm guessing Doomsday did most of the hacking.

Out of curiousity, I looked this up. I'm surprised there's no supporting Wonder Woman character with that name.

^ They may not be permitted to do so because of copyright issues. Even though Nike was in the Greek history.

Ok, the episode itself wasn't that great, but the last 5 minutes as usual were awesome. I do NOT like the direction they are taking Chloe, I think they WANT us to hate her.

I have to agree with my friend here; for whatever reason, TPTB on this show seem to be going out of their way to make one of the show's most popular characters drab, disturbed and loaded with issues. It's not that she's become unlikeable, but this strange turn of events with Bloomsday has certainly made me question what's happened to her own moral compass.

Clearly, Chloe's on the verge of a major breakdown of some kind. As for her ultimate fate, I'm afraid that the writing is on the wall.
