The woman only "rolls back" her surname if she wants to. I've never heard of one doing it -the process of changing your name is a tough one. It's probably easier to just divorce and be done with it.

Lex killed him by pushing him out of a window at LuthorCorp and making it look like suicide.
You'd think that breaking away from their ex would also make them want to ditch the name.
Not always. My cousin's ex-wife kept our family last name because she thought our name was more well known in our area and had a better reputation.
Mine too. What is the point of having a character with superpowers if the only way you can get any drama out of him is to take those powers away ?
I think that is a mistake in the description. I think Clark's powers are still gone because of the Crystal Lex had in last years finale.

I am just saying that the description makes it seem like this is a new event in the episode. When it is actually the current status at the start of the episode.

Same here. How many times can he lose/regain his powers. That's one of the dumbest plot points of the show.

Along with not doing some kind of retcon/clarification on Jor-El's early status as a would-be virtual conqueror. Just some word, some reason why he did things that way (falling rocks bumped his head while Krypton died?) would go a long way.
Yup. One of the biggest drawbacks of the show: they made friggen Jor-El emo.
