I missed the first ten minutes so I can't make a full judgment. I was so-so on the Planet stuff and the Clark/Lois stuff (Clark/Chloe was good though). But I was impressed with the two new characters, Bloom and Mercer. I think they're going to be good additions to the show and I'm looking forward to seeing how both of their storylines will turn out.

Can't wait for Ollie's origin next week!

Well it looks like Clark has made himself a home at the Daily Planet, and that he is going to be a thorn at Lois's side for years to come unless the show goes into a ninth season ending with a TV movie of him accepting his destiny, and doning a red and blue outfit simlar to Green Arrow in design sans weapons ,capes are so cliche.

Is it just me or does Allison look really thin (to thin) this season?

Okay Highlander, after careful watching every scene with Allison tonight, I'd have to say she looks just fine (especially in the last one).

She may have lost a pound or two since Season 7, but it looks good on her.

Maybe NX can add that question to the poll next week!

Like I said it may just be me. I always think of her in high school I guess. Besides it may have just been the lighting. She's still cute as hell.

Yes, she rates quite high on the Cuteness Meter!

Nice new avatar, I approve! Afterall, there can be only one!

:techman:

I gave it Above Average as well. Good ep, like many have said, it's beginning to feel like Superman.

Eager to see how they're going to handle the Doomsday angle.

Later, guys.

I assume that the team Tess is putting together is akin to the Injustice League. She did use the word injustice while talking to Bette. That's classic Smallville forshadowing right there

I have a hard time buying this Lois Lane as so gung ho about journalism. I mean, she got her job because she slept her way to the top. So she can't really complain about Clark stealing her thunder.

Thank Jor-El, a meteor freak! I can go back to drinking again!

I missed out on Tess Mercer's full name last week and its "homage"...so will there be a character named Macher Graves? Gravy Maker? Mach G?

"He's hawt!"

"He's also a liar!"

"Most hot guys are."

Ned Beatty needs to make a cameo...maybe he could be the new Perry White?

Below Average.

Lame, yawn, lame, Meteor Freak of the Week, lame.

I treat this show like a bad car accident -- I don't want to watch, yet I can't turn away full well knowing I'll wish I had.

Stick a fork in this show. This turkey is done.

I liked it. This really feels like a whole different show in many regards.

Maybe Tess is using the Mrs Sullivan trance serum to control them and forming her own legion of doom

I've got money on a Suicide Squad.

I was thinking the "Injustice Gang" when Tess uttered the word injustice. A stretch, I know, but still...

Whatever they call themselves, I wonder if she, along with others, come back this season to square off against the Justice League.

I hope so with the rumor that Rosenbaum says he has no plans to return to Smallville at all and is pursuing a movie deal.
