Is Whitney still dead?

With out Clark trying to steal his girlfriend he wouldn't have joined the army and went off to save democracy from Indonesia.

Lana probably got knocked up at the prom and was squeezing out his moron hillbilly babies when that whole my ancestor is a witch trying to possess me bullshit started... Actually if Lana had degenerated into lost her virginity in a Camero parked around back of the TGIF... Mystery Tattoo's is just par for the course when you drink that much all the time wondering why your life looks like a Bruce Springsteen song.

Yes, I am imagining somehow she degenerated into Jaime Presley from My name is Earl.

I doubt the whole witch story line even played out...Lionel seemed ahead of the game in the alt-U.

[edit] I mean Lionel found one element, Lex found one and the last one was in China...it wouldn't have been hard for Lionel to get it...not being in prison and all.

Moron hillbilly babies. :guffaw:

So all the witch would have had to have done was seduce Lionel after he had found everything... But I suppose since the Fortress was still constructed in about the same place... The Elements wound up in Clarks hands by the end.

I'm going to have to assume that the time line split a very long tiem ago if the El family crest is different... or did he just chose not to use the \S/ in favour of some shirt he just found? but if the logo was different, even though Jor-El was sill a punk, there was no Doomsday, unless Clark killed him too so there have been diverging history for perhaps hundreds of years.

Another thing that irked me about this episode was Lionel naming his 'son' Clark. I know Lionel has a penchant for naming his kids after conquerors, with the exception of Tess (though Lena has some comic precedent). Of course it made it easier for our Clark to navigate in the alternate universe, but I think it would've been cool if Lionel had given Clark a more appropriate name, like Louis (for the Sun King Louis the 14th) or Leonidas or maybe something more historical.

Realistically yes, Lionel wouldn't have named Clark "Clark." But it would sound arkward to call him something else. Creative license.

@Lt.Trull...Allison Mack is on a six episode contract this season with the bulk of her appearances being back loaded on purpose, I believe this was done on purpose to have Chloe incorporated into the final four episodes of the season. I believe that she will have her arc concluded along with Clark and the two will be inter connected together. Chloe is rumored to have a brief appearance in next week's episode.

thanks... I was unaware that they'd be showing all chloe's episodes back to back.... I thought they'd be dispersed thruoughout the entire season...

I had read before this episode that there would be some kind of reference to the DC Comics universe and was wondering how that was going to come about. I wasn't expecting the Ultraman thing.

I've got this sinking feeling that Lionel will wind up being Darkseid's vessel. Why else bring his more evil counterpart over.

To raise Lex 2, into the Lex Luthor we know he will become. Evil Lionel would instill an even more cringe worthy hatred of Clark into a second Lex, who seems already afraid of the \S/.

interesting theory... I also thought it'd be interesting that fake Lionel and Fake Luthor would be finding each other...

Problem is, neither knows that the other exist.

Earth-2 was also mentioned

Isn't the Lex Clone gonna get old and die quickly? Lionel is the real Lex Luthor!

Or atleast the real Luthor. ;)

I actually like the idea of Lionel acting as the vessel or host for Darkseid, if you think about it this makes sense. This version of Lionel comes from a reality much darker than ours (and epic!!!) and has raised a murdering psychopath with incredible power. He would have the traits that an entity like Darkseid would be attracted to especially if this Darskeid is a seed of darkness such as Guy has suggested in the past (a theory I like a lot) then it would make perfect sense for someone like Lionel to come to the Unholy Trinity's attention. Otherwise why bring him from the other universe? Surely not to raise the clone. There's no need for that.

Okay consider this... What if Darkseid tries to take over Lionel and gets lost.

It's like that old joke. So this girl is telling this guy that she's really hard to please in bed because nothing much touches the sides, so after they start doing it, he says 'See, I'm huge right?" and she replies "Meh? Have you started?" so he sticks a couple fingers in, then a fist, a foot and one of his shoulders but she's still not overly impressed. IN an all out effort to get some sort of positive feedback: He falls in. So this guy, he's found himself in the dank endless damp cavern he can't find any boundaries to. It's really quite scary, but off in the distance he sees a light. As the light becomes closer he identifies the silhouette of what must be a cowboy smoking a cigarette because of the ten gallon hat and spurs, so this guy, only massively traumatized by all this desperately the guy squeaks to his would be rescuer: "My god, my god, my god... What are YOU doing here?" and the Cowboy replies "I'm'a looking for my horse."

So in that analogy Lionel's soul is the big vagina and Darkseid is the horse.

Like a Dinosaur wading into a tar pit would be Darkseid skinny dipping into lionels soul.

I 'm suggesting that they use Lionel as a "prison".
