From Kryptonsite/CW.com:

Tess acquires a Kryptonian box that once belonged to Lionel Luthor. When Clark accidentally activates the box, he’s transported to a parallel universe where Lionel found Clark in the cornfields instead of the Kents. In this universe, Clark Luthor is a murderer and Lois is engaged to Oliver and both of them hate Clark. Clark must be careful not to tip off Lionel that he’s not his son while trying to figure out how to get back to Earth where the monster Clark Luthor was transported in his place.

Actually sounds like an interesting episode to me, anything that brings Lionel back! (It's interesting to me that in this parallel universe the boy found in the field is giving the name "Clark" by both Luthor and the Kents.;)) See you guys tomorrow night!

I'll be here, I'm actually looking forward to this episode, I like alternate reality stories.

Yeah, me too. I read one years ago where Martha and Thomas Wayne found young Kal-el and he became Bruce Wayne instead of Clark Kent. This seems similar except Kal-el was found by the ruthless Lionel Luthor instead.

I think that episode with Clark in an alternate universe where he was raised by Zombies was pretty interesting.

Is this their first flat-out parallel reality episode? I know they've done alternate reality scenarios, but my impression is that they were pretty much all either visions or ultimately reset versions of the main timeline rather than distinct and enduring realities to themselves.

Anyhow, it does sound interesting, though I gotta say I liked Lionel better when he was just a bad person, not an evil proto-Lex who murdered his own parents. And I'll be amused to hear why he names the boy Clark, as the show has clearly established that Martha gave him her own maiden name.

I am betting Lionel took young Clark from the Kents...Martha was probable already calling him Clark.

That's possible but the spoiler preview says that Lionel found "Clark" in the cornfield instead of the Kents. It's possible, however, he simply took Clark when Jonathon refused to play ball in the "cover-up" of Clark's adoption. It may also be possible Lionel's life-long obsession/infatuation with Martha caused him to name it after her last name.

I like to see what they come up with for this piece of bad writing.

Given Lionel's penchant for naming sons after conquerors, "Mirror" Kal-El should really be William, Ghengis, Mohammed, Louis or Adolf.

Given his Anglophilia, "William" strikes me as the best of these choices. :p

I've been wanting to see a genuine alternate universe story for years. And the fact that it will feature Lionel (even if an alternate version) is just icing on the cake.

BTW, the symbol on his chest is clearly based on that of Ultraman. Nice touch. I wonder if there will be any other comic references besides the symbol.

Given Clark's penchant for being a dweeb, he should be called 'Douche Luthor'.

Lionel sounded like a douche when he proclaimed Clark was Clark Luthor in the trailer. I will not be here, going out tomorrow night. Will pop in when I come back to see how the car wreck turned out. I did see the Ultraman like logo on Clark's t-shirt. That combined with Cassidy's ultra hotness are the only things interesting about this episode. This is "Smallville"'s first full fledged alternate universe episode which is why I'm so disappointed that they couldn't come up with something more interesting than "CLARK LUTHOR!!!!!!!!!!"

I find myself almost wishing that I had a valid excuse not to be here, but morbid curiousity about how it turns out will no doubt cause me to be here.

I also hope they address why Chloe's presence seems to be missing in this alternate reality, along with Lex.

This is Smallville. Do you really expect anything other than..

"Chloe? She hasn't been here since she got that big journalism gig in Gotham and you know full-well that Lex is in Edge City running his own branch of Luthorcorp."

We'll get throw-away lines about them at the most.
