Just saw the episode, I have to disagree with most everyone here so far, I really really liked it and feel it deserves a higher grade.
It had all the right things, the stuff in the future was awesome IMO, yeah, there was more they could have done, but we got to see future Clark WITH the glasses, and we got to see him whoosh off to save a nuclear explosion, pretty sweet if you ask me, there will be no other opportunity in this last season to see that, what future Clark will become as Clark Kent at the Daily Planet, and here we got to. It is the end result we all wanted to see, and we got to see it. Yeah, no real good shots of him in the cape, but I guess they are saving that big reveal for the very end. We got the classic helicopter save from the original movie, that was freaking awesome, only thing that would have been better is if he flew and caught it, but he's not there yet.
His speech at his dads grave at the end really sealed the deal on this episode for me. He said all the right things, and it seems he is truly moving on and not hanging onto the past now, FINALLY, this is a GOOD thing. It is about time. This is what we have all been wanting, and Brainiac was right, this is a turning point in his life right here.
The end with Lois also sealed the deal of his change, his whole demenor has changed, you can see it, the way he commanded Lois and has learned to live as the hero in the moment is HUGE for this Clark, just huge. Then of course, he levitated, we know he can do that, he's done it once before in the series when he levitated over his bed. But this was a willful levitation, now that his mind was cleared in the moment. I hope we get some good flying scenes now in the remaining episodes.
Yeah, I dunno, I'm not negative about this episode, I actually liked it, and I think this is a turning point for Clark. Oh yeah, and good stuff with Oliver there at the end, I really feel that Clark now has his back.
Red-Blue Blur (Good)
