^ Dayton's answer is actually correct. There are no current plans to collect it, especially since Books 5 and 6 aren't even out in eBook form yet, and if/when it does happen, it won't be until after Mere Anarchy, which also hasn't yet been scheduled for trade release.

Slings and Arrows is a six-part miniseries covering the first year of service of the U.S.S. Enterprise-E, leading up to the events of First Contact (largely concurrent with DS9's fourth and fifth seasons). Without spoiling too much, the series is very much influenced by what was going on with Sisko & Co. at the time, there are some Special Guest Stars, and many pretty Easter eggs relating to the lit-only side of the Trek universe.

^ Bill said what the overall concept was: what the Enterprise was doing during the late fourth/early fifth season of DS9. We'll see the Enterprise side of things like Founder infiltration paranoia, Leyton's coup d'etat on Earth, the fractured Klingon alliance, and the ongoing Maquis problem -- as well as Troi's reaction to her mother's pregnancy.
In addition, it fills the gaps of how Data progressed with his emotion chip from being a wreck in Generations to being able to switch it off in First Contact, plus how and why La Forge switched from the VISOR to the optical implants.

em.. I've got to be honest none of those seem that interesting to me - the answer to how La Forge switched from the visor to optical implants is "he went for an operation".
Of course, the writing could be fantastic but I see nothing there that would make me rush out to pick up those books.

If I had no other ST books to read, I'd get the eBooks and read 'em, but I'll still buy a nice chunky reprint omnibus anytime.
