Skins series 3 character details

Bob The Skutter

Complete Arse Cleft
In Memoriam
I don't know about anyone else here, but I really enjoyed the first 2 series, and I'm hoping the third will work well, rather than tank with all the complete change.

From Digital Spy

E4 has announced the new characters that will be introduced in the upcoming third season of its popular teen drama Skins, says Last Broadcast.

Tony Stonem's younger sister Effy (Kaya Scodelario) and her best friend Pandora (Lisa Backwell) will be the only existing cast members to appear in the third series next year.

The new additions to the girls' lineup are Katie and Emily, twins with contrasting personalities, and the idealistic Naomi.

The boys are comprised of the charismatic Cook (Jack O'Connell), skateboarding stoner Freddie, magician J.J., and Thomas, who struggles to settle in the UK after arriving from Congo.

Harry Enfield, Morwenna Banks and Geoffrey Hughes will return for guest appearances, along with new guest stars Scott Mills, Mackenzie Crook, Sally Phillips and James Fleet.

Skins returns to E4 for a ten-episode run in January.

If they keep up with the dialogue and story style of the first two seasons, the new cast may pull it off. But the characters of the first two seasons were so well portrayed and written, if the new cast isn't up to par, then it will blow.

Effy and Pandora are marvellous.

They remind me of sexualized versions of Topcat and Benny, no, Topcat and Brains.

The last scene in episode 2 with Effy just laying there in Tony's bed... It was metaphorically the same as soaked in gristle and splatter Conan stomping over a mound of corpses to finally assume the throne of Hyboria... I knew the next series had to be about her.... The trades supported my ability to understand cinematic symbolism quick enough. :)

^I believe by the end of series 2 it was already publicised that almost the entire cast would be changed for series 3.

Skins is excellent. The old cast leave a big hole to fill, but frankly I'd watch every week just for Effy anyway. Effy is one of TV's finest heroines :D

No Sketch?

She was twice as evil and 9 times as believably seductive to the dark side as any one I've seen on Star Wars since Tarkin died.

^To be honest, I'm surprised Pandora's in it, I seem to remember it was supposed to be only Effy left of the previous cast.
