Wow! I wonder what's holding up the treatments?...
After a week, the regenerated skin mutates and begins to absorb all living tissue it contacts, growing into a huge blob of pulsating flesh that threatens the very existence of mankind. They have to find a workaround for that.

Not so far from the actualité
I would guess that there is less of a chance of this happening since they are using skin stem cells, and not stem cells from elsewhere in the body. But that is, again, just a guess.

There's not really any risk of teratomas when using adult stem cells, as this procedure uses. That's really only a problem with embryonic stem cells.

I saw on the news a couple of months ago that they can grow a new vein or artery in twenty minutes.
