The first episode was better than the second, but I'd say over all it was a good story. Although I do think Sarah Jane being scared just looks really over the top, even the kids don't look that scared, and I find their reactions more believable than hers, especially after all she's supposedly seen.

Overall I gave it a rating of good. The set up was definitely better than the follow through. The new girl is growing on me. I'm trying not to make a decision on her just yet. This was still her introductory episode. Those are always the toughest to get a real handle on a character.
The OddBob character was well done but there were times the whole "scary clown" thing seemed a bit forced.

I kept waiting for him to say "They all float down here"

I gave it a good, not as cool as the Sontaran episode but enjoyable all the same and quite spooky in places for a children's show. The bit where Rani closed her eyes and was releived that the clown had gone only to discover he was behind her was well done.

Bradley Walsh was surprisingly good, I only hope Russ Abbott is next week...Russ Abbott I tells you!

Downside, the fact that Spellman was just another alien.

excellent. the new girl does seem 'older' than clyde and luke, but part of that may be because she's acting more mature and is also taller...
