Sisko's brothers?

Have Sisko's half-brothers ever appeared in the books? Do they even have names?

I missed it as well - I'm re-watching emissary - and Sisko makes reference to his brother who is a chef (which I never noticed before) and that got me looking on memory Alpha and it said in Paradise, Sisko made reference to brothers and that they are half-brothers.

In Emissary the reference was to his father being a chef, right?

*EDIT* Just checked Memory Alpha aswell, and indeed they mentioned two brothers. Can't believe I forgot that.

I believe they are mentioned in passing in Rough Beasts of Empire. I'm not sure if we ever actually meet them though.

They would only be half-brothers because of the Sarah situation though. At the time, he would have believed them to be full brothers, since he only found out about Sarah in season 7, in his 40s.

We do meet his sister Judith in Lesser Evil.

No you are right, it was his father.

Shit, don't know how I could ever have missed that. I knew Sisko had a sister, she's mentioned in Past Tense, and I think in Homefront. But somehow I missed the referances to brothers.

I remember them mentioning Sisko had brothers but I always wondered why we never saw them or his sister Judith in the ds9 tv series . Ben's sister Judith was featured in the books .

I actually just watched the first couple seasons of DS9 for the first time in over a decade, and I did catch references to his brothers for the first time. I was kinda shocked I never picked up on that before. I'm really surprised that we've never seen them in the books, these are the kinds of minor references the books love to build on.

They were apparently mentioned according to Memory Alpha:

Ben's parents were Joseph and Sarah. Joseph and Sarah had met in Jackson Square, New Orleans in 2331. After Sarah left Joseph in 2333, a year after Ben was born, Joseph spent three years looking for her before eventually remarrying and having two more sons and a daughter, Judith.
