Sir Pat Stewart on Broadway

Saw Sir Pat in Mamet's "A Life in the Theater" this past weekend. Story of a young actor's interaction with a veteran stage actor over a peroid of time. More like a series of vignettes rather then a straight narrative. The material was ok, some quite funny, and Stewart is great as usual. He is so damn natural on stage its amazing. What was also neat was that he helped collect for the AIDS charity after the show. If you gave $50, he took a photo with you. I didn't have my camera, but I watched others take the photo with him. Sir Pat gave the impression of being an extremely gracious down to earth guy that would be great to have a beer with. Anyway, if you're in the area and have the bucks, check the show out mainly for Sir Pat's performance (and maybe get a photo with him!)

Sir Pat? :wtf: Just kidding! Sounds like you had a great evening. It's always nice to see PS on stage.

^Just too lazy to write out Patrick. It was fun to see him, unfortunately I read today the show is closing early, end of the month. Like I said, the material wasn't Mamet's best, but TR Knight and Sir "Pat" did well with it.

Wow! I saw Avery Brooks on stage last spring and really enjoyed it, but I'd absolutely love to see Sir Patrick! I'm glad you had the opportunity.
