Singular destiny cover

I wasn't talking about a spherical jigsaw puzzle, but about a circular one like that shown on the ASD cover.

I have seen them, my father once did a solid yellow circular puzzle. Took forever, but he did it.

I'm sure someone out there knows of a company that can make a custom puzzle out of any picture you provide.

Yeah, I don't even want to imagine how long it would take me to do that.

Whoa, cool; thanks, JD.

I think we may have a 2010 Ships of the Line-type picture in the next calendar...would like to see this writ large, minus the jigsaw puzzle portion.

Is there a reason it would be San Diego?

Well, in Babylon 5, it got nuked. There have been other B5 references in Trek, so I thought "what the heck" and said something.

I also remember one book (The Captain's Daughter?) had San Diego as the site of a 1000 car freeway pileup. I'd by that that could happen on the 805 merge or the 5 or 15.

Come to think of it, I've never seen a circular-plan jigsaw puzzle before. That would be pretty devious to solve. Instead of four corner pieces you could use as anchors, you'd just have a single uniform edge. The only piece that could serve as an anchor would be the center piece. And the galaxy image is fairly uniform, so it would be tough to match pieces by image or color. It would be an interesting challenge.

The Carnegie Science Center had a circular puzzle a few years ago when I was there for an exhibit. I also saw one at a science center in Harriburg one time.

Thanks, NX1701G...have it on a (gasp!) VHS tape somewhere in the bowels of my office (along with about 200 other tapes awaiting cataloging)

When Star Trek and many an other genre programme was shown over here I would record them on to VHS, now I've downloaded or brought them all on DVD so I chucked them all out about a year ago, about 500 or so Video's.

Through the magic of TV on DVD, I have been picking up seasons of various shows. Now the real pain in the ass will be sifting through many unlabeled, hastily-taped shows to see if there's things on there that I don't already have on DVD. I used to keep them organized, but ended up taping over some things, so I just stuck a tape in the VCR and taped things as they aired, so we'd have a tape with Trek, some military show from Discovery or History, some misogny from Spike, some movie off HBO, etc.
