Of course if you really want more DS9, you could write your own version of it after the Dominion war, it worked for me. I've never read the DS9 relaunch books, but I have seen the series three times over. So I decided to take matters into my own hands, have some fun...
I do know the basic details of some of the DS9 relaunch books, and I think the problem they have is that they start right after the actual series (TV) ended. I mean you have the ending of the Dominion war, and then with these books there are all these wacky events and stuff. It should have been spaced out, say relaunch DS9 some years after the Dominion war. It could three or five, or whatever is convenient. That way things settle down...

Wolfe was on track to make a show of DS9-level greatness with Andromeda, until the studio went over his head and totally ruined it midway through the second season. That remains a great tragedy for SciFi.
Hopefully this new show will be very similar to Andromeda's first 1.5 seasons, and the studio will leave Wolfe alone as he makes it.
