Sin City 2 News

Sin City: A Dame To Kill For has been officially announced:
"The first question I am always asked is "When will you make another Sin City?," said Rodriquez. "I have wanted to re-team with Frank Miller and return to the world he created since the day we wrapped the original, but have felt a duty to the fans to wait until we had something truly exceptional that would meet and exceed what have become epic expectations. A Dame To Kill For will certainly be worth the wait."

Sin City creator, screenwriter and co-director Frank Miller said, "The first Sin City knocked out audiences who had never seen anything like it before. Robert Rodriguez and I are going to shake things up and deliver a ferocious film experience that is going to go even further than the first."

Casting will begin next week, with many of the original cast expected to return.

All I have to say is...finally! Looks like Rodriguez's plans to shoot in the summer are actually going to happen.

I love the first movie, so I'm very excited for this. I'm very curious to see which of the original cast members are going to come back, and who's coming in as new characters.

Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For will be released on October 4th, 2013.
The remaining cast will be announced shortly with some huge names expected to fill the roles of Sin Ciy’s newest characters yet to be seen on the big screen.

[...] add a new dimension by bringing their unique visual style to life in 3D.

Anyone know why Devon Aoki isn't back? I loved her as Miho in the first. But I'm sure Jaime Chung will be a good replacement, she's been pretty cool as Mulan in Once Upon A Time.

The article didn't say, I think she was originally supposed to but recently dropped out. What I find more interesting is that there is still significant casting left to occur.

Ghost in the Shell? I'd watch that.
EDIT: I just looker her up on both Wikipedia and IMDB and she hasn't acted since 2009. She did have a kid last year, so that could be keeping her busy.

Shaping up to be a good cast. See Dennis Haysbert is stepping into late Michael Clarke Duncan's shoes. Big shoes to fill :)

I can't wait for this. I loved the first one, and based on the cast alone there is a lot of potential for this one to be even better. I'm actually glad that they went with Eva Green instead of the rumored Angelina Jolie. Ms. Jolie isn't a bad actress by any means, but I just prefer Ms. Green.
