Shouldn't Eli be losing weight?

Kirby

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
After watching last night's episode, I have to wonder if all they've been eating for the past many months is protein powder and some alien plants and vegetables, shouldn't Eli be dropping pounds?

They're making an effort to show the passage of time with hair growth, Rush's facial hair, etc, but Eli looks bigger now than when the show started.

Obviously it's a personal choice by David Blue, but you'd think the producers would have required him to lose weight throughout the series, or at the very least shoot him in ways that don't accentuate the weight so much.

Oh, and I'm not cracking on Blue because of his weight, I myself am a good 50 lbs overweight.

Thought that myself, as well as the fact his "I am here" T-Shirt must be a little stinky.

Realistically they should all look a little emaciated by now.

Ever wondered why you don't see any pets on the ship?

;)

This IS the guy who demanded meat a while ago when Chloe was going nuts over tomatoes.

If this show actually started getting good and went the distance, it would thrill me if Eli pulled a Daniel Jackson and ended up becoming the buffest guy on the ship.

Yes but it's keeping it realistic. It kind of shoots down the point of a character who is meant to be nerdy and weak if the actor doesn't like the part.

Maybe you've just solved the mystery of where that missing crewmember who sat in the chair went...and explained why Eli has gained weight lately...

He's on the Hurley diet.

Therefore, Destiny is limbo and they're all dead.

I swear to god if you just ruined the Lost series finale, I will hunt you down and spank you silly. :scream:

He's lying.

It was an alien spaceship all along.

Or maybe it was a nightmare Vincent had after eating some bad kibble. I still can't decide which one was supposed to be the real part. Gah! That finale was confusing.

Eli is secretly being fed by the aliens hoping to take over the ship. He gives them info. on the ship. They give him junk food. It's a mutually beneficial arrangement.
