Should Voyager have started using the new uniforms?

When you think about the original premise for Voyager: A less than 100% functional starship lost on the wrong side of the galaxy...maybe there should have been a move FROM starfleet uniforms to more civilian style clothes. I doubt hardcore members of the Marquis would EVER have worn starfleet regs.

Chakotay picked his own crew.

People that can fly a star ship are either highly educated or born in space.

Difficult personalities tend to get spaced.

Try living in a submarine with an asshole.

Bad things happen quickly.

So unless Chuckles had some ground pounders on board he was carting from A to B, every one was a of a temperament Chakotay could control or he might as well have swallowed a phaser.
