Maybe this whole fourth Kelvin movie thing has been like the film Argo, and Bad Robot and Quentin Tarantino and Noah Hawley have all been rescuing people from places. We'll just keep getting draft after draft and meanwhile Kalinda Vasquez, Lindsay Beer and Geneva Robertson-Dworet are already planning the next humanitarian mission.

I like the Zoe Saldana cast and will watch another Star Trek thing if they make it. It’s funny, because I didn’t actually particularly care for the first few movies, but now I’d be very excited for them to do another one. The whole current TV franchise is barely on my radar; I don’t know anyone who watches it or who even talks about it outside this site.

Variety says they're still negotiating with the actors, so a repeat of 2018 is still quite possible.
No offense to any of the cast but none of them are exactly headlining AAA Blockbusters. They could probably do with the cash.
