Should Vash have come back to see Picard?

GulBahana

I thought Q'Pid ended the Picard/Vash thing too abruptly. That episode of her and Q on DS9 seemed out of place. It would have been interesting to see her come back and have a love triangle with Crusher over Picard.

Vash should've returned, absolutely! Jenice was The Love of Picard's Life. Seeing how she ended up marrying another, the next best fit for him was none other than Vash. It ain't Love ... but it ain't so bad. She was there to take the edge off his busy day, when she was around. She was a handful, as well, which amused him. He thought it was cute. Until Anij, Picard never got with a woman old enough to be his wife. And had Anij not looked young to him, believe me ... she'd not have gotten a 2nd glance ... especially, with her being what? 300 years and counting? But Vash was better than Viagra to The Good Captain. And on such a long and lonesome journey, you know he needed that ...

I wonder if Troi ever had a private session with Picard to address his fear of getting into a long term romantic relationship.

I utterly agree; Q felt very out of place. And Q didn't know Vash had a thing with Picard. On the other hand, seeing Q give back to Vash the effects of the venom was the sort of thing that they would never have done on TNG.

Q-Less still felt forced, but it was a means to bridge both shows. Which is a trope that rarely works, ask George Flintstone or Fred Jetson... :D

That and nobody pronounced her name right... made it sound like it rhymed with "rash". Which reminds me: as for Vash, there weren't too many ways to get her back to "make it so" with Picard.
