Let me start off...

Lens flares and shaking cameras make it look more "realistic"!

No it doesn't. Lens flares and shaking cameras just make for poor cinemitography...

I've stated many reasons why I do not like Trek 2009, and these two are another pair of reasons to add to that list.

Lens flares gave me a headache.:razz:
 
With luck it'll be optimized for 3D meaning probably less lens flare and certainly less camera shake, unless they want people to throw up in their popcorn.
 
I rewatched the film the other day, the lens flares and "shake" barely register the entire film.
 
If it makes sense in the storyline and intelligently advances the plot, then yes.
