They wouldn't change them, they need to resemble Vulcans, and Vulcans still look the same.

Are you sure about that? I mean, yes, the show should make them look like Vulcans because of the canon connection between Vulcans and Romulans but there is no guarantee that the show would respect canon.

It wasn't the Klingons speaking in Klingonese with the sub-titles and all, which was a tad silly but forgivable (we are watching Star Trek after all), it was that damned boring stunted and slow delivery of their words. It was totally irritating to watch and listen to.

It was a lot of talking for a species so predicated on action.

Also, they all sounded like they were gargling marbles, and it sounded like they said the same thing repeatedly at some points while the subtitles said other stuff.

For the first time in decades, I'm interested in Klingons. So I'm okay.

I'm still kinda resentful about how they flipped the Romulans and Klingons in TNG, and I'd be worried that they still would have a crappy take on the Romulans.

Plus, this is 10 years before Balance of Terror, so it would require some of the fanwank gymnastics they had about Romulans that they had on Enterprise, which was interesting, but I doubt people would have the patience for that now.

Well they're respecting Balance of Terror by not showing any Romulans at all in the show so we'll never know.
