Should the bring Hawk back?

This probably comes up all the time, but there hasn't been a thread (or poll) about it.The novel universe has changed a lot since First Contact.

Should they bring back Lieutenant Sean Hawk?

IMO they should. I wasn't his biggest fan but I feel his death could be counteracted by Keru now that the Borg are gone.

BRING HIM BACK!!!

One thing is for sure, if this will affect future Star Trek books, then I will boycott them and stick to fan fiction instead, stories which are made by people who care about the characters.

Lets see, Hawk assimilated, turned into a Borg drone and made the villain of the story so that Star Fleet has to hunt him down and kill him . Sean Hawk was kidnapped, raped and then murdered. All to further the development of the hetero character or characters of the story. It has a horrible death as are most of the ones covered under the header “Gay Men in Refrigerators.”

If Hawk came back, Keru would freak out.

I vote "Keep him dead".

I await the attack of the Militant Hawk Fans, who will no doubt claim his grisly death is part of some giant anti-gay movement, and repeatedly point out that Straight Worf killed Gay Hawk when Straight Worf had previously saved Straight Picard from the Borg.

They will then demand that Hawk return to the books while refusing to buy the books (even if he returns) and instead pimp their Hawk fanfic series where he lives happily ever after with Keru. Did I miss anything?

Oh yeah, and get the entire gay and lesbian alliance to spam this poll.
