Should the Balok puppet be the last image we see?

Dale

Should we see still-frames of some of the more exotic scenes from the film, or perhaps even staged scenes from other theoretical "episodes" under the credit roll at the end of the film? Should the Balok puppet be the last image we see? Should they include an homage to the Desilu logo right before the MPAA rating card comes up and the screen goes dark? Should the film start with the NBC peacock spreading his rainbow plumage? Should the film have commercial breaks?

Re: Should the Balock puppet be the last image we see?

^ TV ads from 1966 no less ? ^

That'd be funny, but no, way overboard there.

Re: Should the Balock puppet be the last image we see?

That would make my avatar ever so happy.

You know, if you take the first letters of the last names of everyone on the Supreme Court (Abrams, Kurtzman, Burk, Orci, Lindelof), you get AKBOL, which, rearranged... is BALOK!

Brilliant!

you mean, at the end of the movie, or in general?

Why do you use the cynical smiley on your own post?

^ Becuse it's a joke thread, based on the threads about if it doesn't look 100% like the 1960's people won't watch.

I don't know why, but this just killed me!

You're on your death bed... the lights are growing dim... the pain fades... and as your peripheral vision begins to close in and the circle of light diminishes, you hear those last five notes and see the Balok puppet... :guffaw:

or better...

you're on your deathbed and in a blaze of light you see the Lord and a retinue of angels coming to get you home. He turns His countenance to you, smiles, and says...

"YOU HAVE ONE EARTH MINUTE!!!!"

seigezunt --

You need to get over here to clean my monitor and get me a new cup of coffee. Damn you.

I think I would rather see "Puppet Balock" rather than young bald Clint Howard while on my deathbed. Clint's Balok with that dubbed voice always creeps me out -- both 35 years ago and still today.

Well done, good and faithful servant! Come and inheret the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.

But first, the Tranya!

They should incorporate a new production company just so that Star Trek could be produced by BALOK Productions.

I about fell out of my chair laughing.

Re: Should the Balock puppet be the last image we see?

I think we should see Clint Howard make a cameo appearance as Balok's father. Ya know, for the sake of continuity...canon...something something....
