Should Shatner return in some way in the next film?

    Actually when I first saw that scene my immediate thought (beyond sheer disbelief/shock) was 'omg theres the Shatner cameo!' :D

    it'd be hard to top that scene as a 'send off' for Shatner/TOS cast really (and for the anniversary).. abit like the way the last scene/sign off of Trek VI was a perfect send off (for the anniversary too)

    And it was the best send off to give the old crew, anything else will start to look contrived. There were rumours Ms Nichols would play Uhura's great grandmother in ST09, that moment has passed.

    They already had their send off in TUC. Since the NuTrek series seems to be coming to a close it would be strange to finally give TOS a send off anyway.
