Should Season 7 be the final curtain call for House MD?

Yes, as long as they don't try to come up with some sort of fake happy ending.

He's not going to live happily ever after with Cuddy or anyone else, his leg is not going to get better and he's not going to suddenly stop being miserable.

Season 7 should absolutely be the last.

I agree. Let it end on the note that it will always be a struggle between Cuddy and House but that they will somehow manage in the end. A perfect happy ending wouldn't fit the character or the show, but some optism is ok.

Should it? I don't know.

Will it? No unless something happens to Hugh Lurie. He is already signed through season 8.

I like the Dr. House character, but the show has gone past its fresh date. It's not bad per se, it's just that enough is enough. That and I'm not too keen on all the melodrama they've injected into the show in an attempt to keep it interesting. The simple concept they had initially about a crabby doctor was just fine and worked well.

I hope the show ends as soon as possible before it gets too stale.

I've only seen the first few eps of season butthe show already seems to be running out of steam, shouldend in season 7

I agree. The melodrama to me has gotten a little annoying, which is why I don't really care about the season finale. House and Cuddy got together...oooh, big deal. Sounds like a jump the shark moment, to me. Remember when Mulder and Scully got together? They might make it work, if it really allows House to change. But I'm not sure I want him to change too much.

I really wish they'd take House and put him in a different scenario. That's why I wanted him to stay in the psyche ward for some time, if not the whole season. I want to see House out of his element, without all the safeguards he's built up around himself at Princeton Plainsborough. I still have no interest in 13, Cuddy or Foreman. I like Chase, Taub and Cameron if she ever comes back, but my enjoyment of the show doesn't ride on them.

Take House away from all that, completely flip the show on it's back, put House somewhere he doesn't want to be but somewhere his full brilliance is truly utilized.

I would end it after 7 but the contracts go till 8 and unless the show drops a full demo point and 3 million more viewers I doubt FOX will let the show end until after the 8th season.

I actually commented in last night's episode thread that I thought last night's episode, with the final scene between House and Cuddy would have been a fitting way to end the series.

It actually would have been a great way to end it, yeah.

I'm afraid of all the melodrama to come from this relationship.

If it wasn't for the mystery concerning Thirteen, it would have been.

It wouldn't take too much imagination to assume her Huntington's disease is rearing it's ugly head.

It actually would have been a great way to end it, yeah.

And I suspect had that been the series finale, it would have been a more satisfying end than I'm gonna get with LOST on Sunday.

With the possible exception of 13, it really was a good place to leave these characters.

That would've made for an amazing season of television. They should've at least kept Nolan around a little more than they did. Or maybe mention House's stay in the hospital every once in a while. This season was a dropped ball after the outstanding premiere.

Yeah I think it needs to be put out to pasture after seeing last night's finale.

It's almost decent, but there's not a lot of wind in the sails any more and I shudder to think what they're going to do with this House/Cuddy thing next year. I also don't particularly care what's going on with Thirteen.

These days, the best you can hope for when you sit down to watch an episode of House is maybe a good joke or two. It used to be a lot more than that.

Pretty much. The last half of last season to the premiere of this one was a great run but they've never been able to return to that quality since.
