Re: Picard in Trek XI
Ugh, I hate threads like this because while I know what the subject title says is very improbable there's still a tiny part of me that's curious enough to make sure that there isn't a trace of veracity. As usual my first instincts appear to be correct.
As for the topic of Picard appearing in Trek XI, I certainly wouldn't mind that per se, for he is one of my favorite TNG characters, and due to the events in "Sarek" and "Unification" there's certainly enough background there that it wouldn't be too far fetched to have Picard and Spock meet again. However, I really think Picard's presence would be too distracting, and if the movie is supposed to be focused on this new crew and time traveling Romulans, I don't think we need to make room for Picard. It sounds like the movie is going to be packed with enough people and events as it is.
