The Hangover was great. I could see it passing Trek. Completely different film, obviously.

Hangover has to be on pace to set a summer comedy record... I can't remember a recent comedy to top 200 mil domestic. It deserves it, but I just hope they don't crap all over the sequel... hopefully all this extra money gets Todd Phillips working on Old School 2 with the FULL original cast.

It looks like "Home Alone" holds the record for highest domestic gross for a comedy at $281m. Meet the Fockers is #2 @ 279. I doubt Hangover hits that, but it has it's sights on films like Beverly Hills Cop ($214m), My Big Fat Greek (piece of crap) Wedding ($241 m) and Bruce Almighty ($242 m). Here is the complete list.
