We all know by now that Abrams and Co. are trying to reboot/reimagine/continue the voyages of Star Trek by making it accessible to new viewers.
It is therefore perfectly obvious and natural for many fans in this forum to want Abrams to cram into the movie all the minutia that bogged down the franchise in the first place.
For this reason, I demand that we see Harcourt Fenton Mudd's wife in Star Trek XI. If we don't see her in person, we should at least see a photograph of her on the wall somewhere. Or maybe she could have a starship named after her. She was integral to Star Trek. What was her name again?
And if we can't have her, we simply must have Tuvix.
I DEMAND IT!
And what actor should play Tuvix?
I think it should be someone from the cast of Heroes, because that show is really hot right now. An actor from a currently hot show practically guarantees a performance that will stand the test of time.
If this movie were being made a few years ago, I would have insisted on an actor from Lost. But the bloom is sort of off the rose with that show, so it would make no sense at this point to get an actor from that show.
And who should play Dabo Girl #3? I think we should wait to see how Bionic Woman is received by the Comic-Con crowd. If it becomes hot, we can mine the hell out of that show.
I wish Abrams would just let us write this movie. We'll make it newbie accessible. Just as long as they've reviewed their copy of the Star Trek Encyclopedia first.
Quapla'!
