Should DSC and PIC have a run in syndication?

Oh Hell, somebody's gotta do it...

SO who was the idiot at the Canadian Stations who decided to broadcast the show in the wrong time slot?

Cause I'm pretty sure that CBS wasn't involved in that decision.
Space (or CTV Sci-Fi as it's now known as) decided to broadcast the show at the same time it was made available on CBS All Access, which meant going in the pre-swearing timeslot. If they had gone in the safe-swearing timeslot, then in the first season when the show was on Sundays that would have put it in direct competition with The Walking Dead, and no one was under any illusions which would be the ratings winner in that case.

They intentionally chose not to censor out the swearing fearing Star Trek fans would revolt if they did. Instead, they ended up in trouble anyway.

I'm thinking that if I were the one making that decision, I'd be much more likely to want to take on a brooding fanbase rather than a Government Policy that would most likely end up costing a whole lot more in fines, than losing a few TV viewers.

But that's just me.

It's not a question of 'IF' any of these Star Trek streaming series (ST: D, STP{, etc.)will end up in syndication (even in the U.S.) - it's just a question of 'When'.
