Short Treks Coming to Blu-Ray

Somehow I suspect when Netflix pull their finger out they'll similarly skip "Children of Mars", since it ties into an Amazon Prime show not theirs.

Depends on their contract. Highly likely "Children of Mars" was not even offered to Netflix. Also possible that it was already included in Amazon Prime's deal. The reason the first four "Short Treks" took so long to arrive on Netflix (24 hours before the Season 2 premiere of DSC) was that "Short Treks" didn't even exist when the initial deal was done.

Without the pandemic, I am sure DSC Season 3 would have commenced by now, and the new "Short Treks" safely within "Trailers and More" 24 hours before the premiere.

When it was first announced a couple years ago that they were doing these Short Trek things, I was highly skeptical. But now, after having watched each of them a handful of times, I'm so glad they exist. I want, like... 80 of them... by next Wednesday . But the Blu-Ray will do for now.

Currently laying on the sofa, watching the special features, following a full viewing of all the episodes. Although I’d seen them all before, the set came out in the UK today, so I had to watch them again!

Love the episodes, and love the set. They give us far more extras than we needed, which is fantastic.

Honestly, I hope they expand the scope of these much more, over the coming years. There’s so much opportunity to revisit old Trek characters briefly, or provide us with random things in the Trekverse we have never had a chance to see before. It’s such a brilliant concept, I’d happily start getting 10 episode seasons of this.

They became available streaming in my country at some point recently and I missed it. Watching them now and on Q&A. My God, do I love this version of the Enterprise.

However, if the uniforms the E crew were wearing on Disco were new, why does the E crew wear them in this flashback? Continuity error! Worst show ever!!!

Trouble with Edward now. I can't be the only one who thinks Captain Rosa Salazar totally overstepped her authority and made a hugely bad decision unilaterally re-assigning the only PROTEIN SPECIALIST from working on a quick, easily maintained source of protein for a planet undergoing severe food shortages, to CLIMATOLOGY, for no reason other than she thought tribbles are cute and he made a bad 1.5 minute presentation?

Captain Salazar was a bad captain on a ship full of bad people. Maybe this was Starfleet's way of letting natural selection do its thing on the worst officers in the fleet?
