Short List for reading

Hi! I'm looking for some help in getting my wife back into Star Trek books. I've been reading them all along, but due to starting a family, my wife stopped reading about 10 years ago, right at the start of the DS9 re-launch.

I'm trying to put together a short list of books that will fit her likes, and that already includes "Cold Equations" as Data was about her favorite character. I know also that the recent "The Fall," and "Typhon Pact" series would be outside what she would like to read as she's not that into political stories.

Can people offer advice? I've read all these books, but between work and kids, I don't remember as much as I'd like. Please keep recommendations to 5 books or so, thanks.

^My opinion...Kirsten Beyer's Voyager novels; Full Circle, Unworthy, Children of the Storm, The Eternal Tide...and Protectors, which comes out in the next week or two. Not really political, and kinda self-contained. Think early DS9 relaunch. Even if she's not a Voyager fan...these books will change that.

Oh...and the Destiny trilogy :techman:

Yes. Voyager. Thoroughly the best character-driven Trek being written by now, if not the best Trek period.

Read the flowchart linked in Thrawn's message. Start with the DS9 relaunch and go from there in order. Don't jump around where she could be lost.

Haven't yet had the time to build that ever. I think I will make that my next project after the secret and I think pretty cool project I am working on for my next big update
