Shiny Nails

I haven't painted my finger nails since I was 12, and I've never painted my toe nails. : shrug : it's just not for me.

Rosie, long time no see.

I actually paint my toenails so that I don't over trim them. I have a deep hatred of white poking out from my toes.

Okay, you're frightening me with how much you're like me in this thread.

Ladies:
On the subject of nails ( I don't put any polish on mine)
But how would you( can I) stop my thumb nail from splitting, I caught it on a rivet on my jeans pocket about 12 years ago and it just doesn't seem to want to stop splitting dowm the center its split about 1/3 the way down.
any info would be appreciated. ( Thanks in advance)

Ok now back to you thread.

My finger nails tend to split from years and years of playing guitar and construction and all that jazz, I use a clear coat on my nails that's re-enforced with kevlar.

Thanks, it was all the way back in October so we're an old married couple now.

I get mine done. French for the hands and color for the feet. Right now I'm wearing OPI's "Not So Bora-boring Pink". No pic though - that's just my personal policy.

As for my toenails...I only paint them in the spring and summer.
