Shiny Nails

I thought it might be fun for us women that like to play with nail polish to show off some of our finds and our favorite colors.

I really love this dark blue from petites.

But I recently got tired of it and felt like a change. So I combined two Sally Hanson colors, one is Emerald (about the only vibrant green I could find) and the other is an extreme silver.

I much more prefer the cool colors as opposed to the boring ol pink and red shades, but that's just me. And probably just me as it can be really hard to find them.

Okay now it's your turn to show off pretty colored nails.

Holdfast:

Would you be pleased if the ladies have polished toes in open toe shoes?

No, they're out shopping for stylish shoes. :D

How long did it take you to do the mutli colored ones?

My 6 year old daughter loves having her toenails painted. Her favorite is to use red, white, and blue on alternating toes.

Oh multi is easy, you just paint the whole toe the light one and then do half in the darker shade (generally want them to dry).

Can I do your nails now bro? I imagine you'd look best in Pinkish Delight.

I'm going to have to take a pass on that, thanks. I can imagine putting my skates on in the locker room and someone catching a glimpse of that.

And I have really, really ugly feet and nails. You'd need 5 coats to cover them.

You also need a steady hand, which sadly I do not have. :(

I'm so bad at painting my toenails that I just let myself get out of the lines and take a shower to knock the polish off of my skin around my toenails.

I used to have the coolest shade of blue that I loved to paint my toenails with.

My son got mad at me for leaving him at home one evening and dumped it and my other nail polishes out in my bathroom sink. :(

Maybe I'll have to buy some more and paint them again.

I love the green and silver, blab.

^ I got the coolest bright Teal for Christmas. It's called Teal the Cows Come home from OPI.

I do the exact same thing. I figure if you paint them a few days before you think anyone will see them why not harness the power of water?

Ok, so I'm not the only one. Only for me it's fingernails. I can't hold my hand steady and it ends up looking like I just dipped my hands in some paint.

And, as a straight guy, it's your mission, should you choose to accept it, why was I painting my fingernails? :vulcan:

Gothic Rock And Roll Band?

Either all the women here hate painting their nails or all the women have left for greener pastures.
I haven't painted my finger nails since I was 12, and I've never painted my toe nails. : shrug : it's just not for me.

Not gothic, just hard rock and metal.

Rosie, long time no see.

I actually paint my toenails so that I don't over trim them. I have a deep hatred of white poking out from my toes.

Okay, you're frightening me with how much you're like me in this thread. :wtf::lol:

Not true. This thread has motivated me to go out today and buy new nail polish. My finger nails are drying as I type this.

I tried to type once or twice while letting my nails dry. I ended up getting finger nail polish over the mouse and tried to get it off with polish remover, which stripped the paint instead.:(

I'm a toenail polisher...they are currently a metallic-y brown. I don't paint my nails 'cos they are always short.

If I go 'outside' the lines, I rub the excess before it dries with a q-tip dipped in polish remover.

The shower trick works too :D
